Softening + RO purification

Industrial Water Softening & Purification System

This integrated system combines softening pretreatment, filtration and reverse-osmosis purification on a stainless-steel frame for larger commercial and industrial water-treatment duties.

Industrial water softening and purification system with a complete 304 stainless-steel frame, control cabinet, membrane housings, filter housing, pump and process piping

Selection answer

When this system is the right starting point.

Start with this integrated softening and RO family when hardness control and dissolved-solids reduction are both part of a large-flow treatment duty. The confirmed family covers a 20 T/H reference configuration and customizable 15–100 T/H capacities.

Best fit

Use this family when these conditions align.

  • Large commercial, campus, utility or industrial duties requiring softening before RO
  • Projects within the confirmed 15–100 T/H capacity range
  • Feed water where hardness and scale risk must be reviewed together with the required purified-water target

Compare another system when

Change the process family when the treatment objective changes.

Single-Pass Industrial RO

A single-pass RO system without the integrated large-flow softening configuration is the more appropriate starting point.

Industrial Ultrafiltration

Particle and colloid control, or UF protection before downstream RO, is the primary treatment objective.

Double-Pass RO

A second RO pass is needed to meet the approved product-water quality target.

Enclosed Single-Pass RO

The project uses municipal tap water, needs 1–10 T/H and favors an enclosed caster-mounted system.

System configuration

Available Configuration Options

Final pretreatment, materials and output quality should be confirmed according to the submitted feed-water conditions and project duty.

  • Capacity from 15–100 T/H
  • Quartz-sand filtration
  • Activated-carbon filtration
  • Softening-resin pretreatment
  • 8040 RO membrane stage
  • Optional 304 stainless-steel or fiberglass membrane housings
  • Optional PVC or 304 stainless-steel piping
  • Optional 20-core 40-inch PP cartridge filtration
  • Indoor or outdoor installation according to project conditions

Project customization options

OEM branding and project-specific configuration.

  • OEM logo and equipment nameplate

Process boundary

What this system family covers.

01

Feed side

Feed-water analysis confirms the hardness load and the required media, carbon and softening pretreatment basis.

02

Core process

The reference train combines quartz-sand filtration, activated-carbon filtration, softening resin, cartridge filtration and an 8040 RO membrane stage.

03

Product-water side

Storage, disinfection, distribution, chemical conditioning and any further polishing are confirmed separately for the intended duty.

Selection inputs

Information needed before configuration.

  • Complete feed-water analysis including hardness and other scale-forming constituents
  • Required product-water quality and point of use
  • Required flow, daily volume, peak demand and operating hours
  • Regeneration basis, salt handling, hardness-leakage expectation and waste-brine route
  • RO recovery objective and concentrate-disposal route
  • Voltage, materials, installation location, site space and documentation needs
